What Looks Like Bread and Tastes Like Wine?
In the eucharist, we have the real presence of jesus mediated by signs that are not in and of themselves, jesu's proper bodily signs. So over by the piza right now, there is no person. How do i know? Because there is no sign to me of a physical body next to the piza. Instead, i see in front of me the reality of physical bodies, which are the signs to me of human persons. That's the beauty of catholic communion.
