Leveraging Dad's Portfolio and Doing Developments
You had dad's portfolio worth few million quid. You then leveraged that to do development. Can I ask a question? What was his view on you doing developments and taking bigger risks? He was very, very cautious. And I wasn't the driving force behind the development company. One of our best successes was that we bought a car showroom with a Mitsubishi car showroom. We got off planning permission for 42 four-bedroom houses. Then all of a sudden, as soon as planning got approved, we got approached by Lidl. They came to us with a phenomenal offer that we couldn't refuse. Blimey.
