The Problem With Micro Payments
If you're not those top tier publications or a huge creator brand, you're stuck. Only about 20% of Americans subscribe to any publication in the US. If everyone subscribed to 10 publications, that's like 1.5% of GDP. So this whole industry of publishing is living in this mathematically impossible situation where every publisher thinks they're going to be that one publication and it won't happen.
