What Did You Learn From the Black Caucus?
We had our health brain trust. Brought people from across the country to also have a voice and help us, help to guide what we were doing as members of congress. We tried to leave every health brain s with a an agenda item that we would focus on and try to turn into legislation or just policy one way or the other. Not everything that we actually put in the bill has been actually implemented. So we still have work to doman,. i remember the bill always being reintroduced again. And a recurrent issue. A but so what we did was, as a try caucus, come together and insist that health equity had to be addressed in the a c a.
