Cicero is a computer program that learned to play diplomacy using reinforcement learning. It learns by playing against itself and watching how others do in the game. Once it figures out its best move, it can then communicate with other players via what it's come up with. But notably, Cicero never actually backstabbed or stabbed any of the other players.
