Some of the problems, and this is not to subtract from the fact that I admire the CBT people for insisting that there be an evidence base for what they do. If you want to study obsessive compulsive disorder, if you're a researcher, you have to study a clean version of that. So you eliminate people who have comorbidities. That's going to be your healthiest version. And so you develop an evidence based treatment, like let's say exposure therapy. And it helps the people in your, we would say cherry picked group. And their symptoms will diminish. It's very rare in my practice that come with one DSM disorder, not comorbid with anything else
