The Fear of Self-Promotion

When I got out of prison, I came out ready to do some. Like I knew what I wanted to accomplish. And actually, because I had been at such a low point in prison, I think that it gave me an advantage when I got out in the sense that I was not afraid to promote myself. But most people, they can't get over their fear of that. Most people think that selling is a shameful thing. They're ashamed to promote themselves Because we're raised to have good manners. We're raised not to be a stage hog. Not to be pushing, not to be selfish. You just have a messed up perspective of what it is to make the ask. like
