Genetic Therapes - Is There a Moral Obligation to Respond?
I don't think we have a mora obligation to respond to that want. If somebody needs food, of course i should give them food. And if there were a the ability to genetically edit out a risk for alsheimers, which challenges cognitive cognition, would be a good thing to go for. So what worries me is that we will develop drugs and gentheropies that will address alzeimers in adults, and they will be used off label for enhancing intelligence in adults. And then we will truly have the invalids in the social divide that we're trying to avoid with this arbitrary line in the sand. so canitus interjects?
