The coronation itself has sparked many memories in people of the partition and the horrific events of that time. Shashma: When you talk about a monarchy bringing affluence, yes, I guess, you know, these are small principalities which will perhaps have some affluence. But India had to claw back from being one of the poorest countries in the world in 1947 when British left.
