Vaudeville was a sort of family entertainment, yououd go with your d family. But burlesque comedy grew out to be a little more about women parading around. They used the term low comedy, lows called, that's what they called it. This your low comedian. To day comedy is sophisticated. Coco on a part is an old building, you know. So it is all about like delivering these laughs. Just great.
