The Importance of Taste in Visual Design

I looked up the word taste with a few well-known designers that like I have followed for a while. Most of the things I found were actually designers who are new to me or not even designers, just people discussing taste. Some of the more concrete things that I found were not even necessarily related to visual design, just kind of discussing art as well.
