The Effect of Zoning Restrictions on Housing Prices

Housing affordability is not falling on the assets of current homeowners. Many people have selfish or self-interested reasons for pursuing these really strict zoning restrictions. But I also think that it's heavily motivated by just reflexive fear of change. If you don't want your community to change at all in terms of built form, it's going to dramatically change demographically.
