Scientists aren't as standard trained on how to do public engagement. Media training sometimes has this connotation of, you know, will teach you to be a robot. It's really just making sure that you know what you want to say. And i i suppose, also just more training for scientists on public engagement and what to expect.

Hundreds of scientists have responded to a survey asking about harassment and abuse during the pandemic. The results paint a picture which is as concerning as it is shocking.
