The Importance of Faith in the New Testament
Babylon is given to and driven by the vanity and emptiness of idolatry. The objects of babylon's worship would be powerless to help them in the day of the lord's judgment. Their idolatry would ultimately spell their doom. Vaunting tyrants would be laid low, but the word of the lord would ultimately endure.
