Spotify and apple have both announced new services. Spotify is offering paid podcast via anchor, their sort of podcast creation service. If you sell a subscription podcast on anchor, it isn't spotify, but they also give you private orasess feeds. You can listen to an anchor paid podcast in overcast, or you can listen to it in apple podcasts. Podcase used to be an open eco system, nowts splitting into the two giants. But that's not what happened.
Ben and James discuss the history of podcasts and why Spotify’s recent announcements are so compelling for creators.
