Apple's Response to Student Worker Violations
A student worker is somebody who can be as young as 16 years old. He or she is doing it as an intranceship, so they're not paid as much. They're not supposed to work 60 hours a week like a normal worker. But some of these factories do force them to work nights and weekends. This is in violation of chinese law and apple zone supplier code of conduct. Apple threatens to withhold new business from pegatron. Pegatron tells apple they fix things and its business as usual until the next violation is discovered.
