Lines Are a Misunderstood Thing

Every putter nowadays has a line on it because one, either the designer thinks that that's important or two, that's what the public wants. "Lines are not necessarily an alignment feature like looking down the barrel of a gun looking to fight up to two parallax objects to create one, you know, direct line," he says. Most often lines are in the wrong spot of the putter and also contradict what the line value is supposed to do.
