We also don't fully express joy. We can often be fearful of expressing that. So with breath work, you can do these kind of deeper sessions less regularly. A good way to start with that is having a journal practice. I'm huge on meditation even though I teach breath. Stillness, sitting with yourself and getting curious when something comes up. The more that you can do that, the more that you'll notice that you're open to joy as well.
