As people moved out of the pandemic and started to think that it might be safe, once again, to go out in large crowds an to enjoy themselves, monkey pox was able to get a foothold. So who did health providers start to see presenting with the virus? What we've seen so far is that a vast majority, so 99 %, of infections, are in men. And around 94% of those who have reported infection report having recent sexual or close intimate contact with men.
