The Impact of a Black Hole on Matter
Black holes are capable of pulling matter literally apart. As the black hole grows, so too will its strength. The more it increases in mass, the more of the earth it will draw into it. Over time, the magma, the bedrock, the soil, the lakes, the very planet itself would be pulled apart. There would be no place left for life to live on earth - a moot point anyway.
