Hitchcock's fame in selling the villain makes the picture. He is initially read as an idealistic, sincere terrorist. And then in the end it's just pure cynicism. The sequel suggests that he, she not submitting to him. So i think if you want to make the claim that dyhart is better the original, it's because of allan rickman playing the villain and the villain being totally forgettable. That seems like an anti christmas ifilm idea doesnit?
