The Problem With Value Based Care
Farzay: "There's a lot of activity in the marketplace that does not add value. It destroys value by increasing costs" Farzay: The problem is when policy has created the rules of the game such that if someone is only thinking about maximizing their profits, that ends up resulting in an increase in social good but a decrease in social good. He says Congress knows a solution but can't take it because policymakers exist in a political environment which is subject to influence and manipulation by the private side.
