What Should I Take Away From All This Polling?
A look at the trend line, not what the number is, gives us a ballpark. It doesn't mean that the blue line will overtake the red line, but it certainly suggests that's a possibility more so than if the lines don't diverge very much or they never come to a point of coming together. The other thing that I spend most of my time looking at is not the gap between one person's vote and the other person's vote, right? Somebody's up by five points, someone's up by seven, but look at the total vote that they're getting.
