The Challenges of Researching Chinese Experiences at Kankoko University

Gethathat: In chapter five you discuss chinese students at kankoko university. So what did you discover about their experiences of being in kendai? He says they had like, a very complicated relationship with japanese imperialism and with sort of being students of kendi. Gethathat said he found motives for attending kenda were similar to those of krian and taanese students. While the chinese anthology only briefly mentioned ther motives, it's clear that no one was forced to attend kendi. They all chose to do so voluntarily.
