Yunow: I think writers are often frustrated smart people. They might feel like outsideris or something, and want people to know they've got good brains. And i think part of it comes from egotism, but also part of it is like fear,. Like you see someone else sort of getting close to what you're doing, an you want to keep them away. You want shut them down. So i imagine that, i assume that's probably true. Yunow: There's a lot of this baked into it, where it's like my writing has to acknowledge all this other writing. But that jas my read on it.
