The Connection Between Profit and Discrimination

When we fail to see the regulatory functions of profit and loss, we sometimes end up supporting policies which, you know, mine those regulatory functions. And one tragic consequence can be an increase in the amount of discriminatory behavior that occurs in market places. Far from requiring us to choose between profits on the one hand and people ins as a sort of common leftistrope, it turns out that the profit system is really the only humane way for humans to live with one another.
