Is Your Approach to Teaching Science a Preassessment?
i often talk about how we use our e l a block to help teach kids how to use tex to gain new knowledge. And what i tell teachers is, yes, we might do a topic, let's say, about weather, that we're providing some background knowledge on weather. But you wouldn't want to use that as your approach to teaching science. Our approach to science then would be about the phenomena we observe, and then underpinning that then is the quest for knowledge to support understanding that phenomena. Is that sound right? Yes, absolutely.
