The Importance of Economic Development
Blair government missed the economic development and industrial policy side of what was needed. Without a fundamentally viable, vigorous economy, which generates good jobs we're in terrible trouble. The problem is, to the extent we have a vigorous economy, it doesn't generate good jobs. To the extent we generate jobs is not in places where there's a vigorous economy or they're not good jobs.
