The Hardness of Transfer
Don't overload their working memory, that's the rule. Make use of their long term memory and what they have existing in there. Transfer is solving new problems with old information or doing things which are slightly different to what you just did but it's a new situation. That doesn't actually work very well. I'm going to give you one example which hopefully is going to hit hard and probably make you convinced that, okay, transfer is hard.
