There's huge blurring between dissident Republican movement and straightforward gangland crime. Judge Tara Burns described Dowdell as a ruthless, base, callous criminal who told lie after lie. If there's any evidence behind that, I think that's also problematic for Sinn Fein because he was a suspected IRA member. This is six years after or more after Shayna Walsh released the famous video. And 15 years after the Good Friday agreement when Sinn Fein decided that they were going to go on an exclusively peaceful and democratic path.
