Could a Human Mate With Other Animals?

Would it be even possible for a human to mate with another species? Defining species by what animals in a population can successfully breed. Sometimes different species like lions and tigers or horses and donkeys can breed, but the offspring is usually infertile. The hypothetical offspring of a human and a chimp is called a human z.
