Introduction

This season, we're discussing the history of the Mughal Empire. Muhammad Zahidodin Babur is born in Fergana in 1483. After his father's death, Babur becomes ruler of Fergana and desperately wants to expand his territory. He captures Samarkin, capital of the Tamur dynasty twice, but loses it both times. With several ups and downs, Babur is now destitute with no home, no throne, and no lands.
