The Benefits of Low Temperature Heat Pumps

In 2020, London launched the world's first project to harvest unwanted heat from the subway system known as the tube and use it to warm more than 1300 homes. When the tunnels were first dug in the 1920s, they were actually advertised as a place to stay cool because it was 14 degrees C or about 57 degrees Fahrenheit down there like any other place underground. But over the years, heat has accumulated and heated up the whole system so that heat is now something they'd like to remove from it. Half of this heat comes from just the friction of trains applying their brakes,. And about 21% are generated from aerodynamic drag and friction of the trains. Another 21% comes from the electric motors
