Pain reprocessing theory is the idea that you reframe your pains. It's early days but there are some clear recommendations here, says Dr David Hallou. As people find they can do more, pain itself presents itself to them as lessening. The brain sort of infers, well, if I'm doing this stuff, it can't be that bad, can it? So there's a kind of virtuous cycle that replaces a vicious cycle.
