The US Bank Ratings Downgraded
In April, we took actions on 22 US banks, so not quite a third of the rated US bank universe. The ratings for 11 banks were downgraded. We also changed the rating outlook on five banks to negative from stable. And then we also changed the outlook to four banks to stable from positive and affirm the ratings on two banks. So in some total, these changes move the median US bank rating down one notch from a three prior to a rating action to be AA1.
