Witchcraft in an Age of Persecution

Dr. Laura Koonin interviewed 40 practicing witches for her new book, "Witches of Instagram" The interviews are meant to be partly about why people identify as a witch or practice witchcraft but also as a lens into thinking more broadly about you know what it means to be a human and to identify in a particular way. Wicca is usually based on initiation after a year and a day so it takes a long time to become a witch. It's really interesting to see these tensions within the witchcraft community but also how it's shifting with age and social media.
