Suffering? What's the Point of Euthanasia?

If the whole point of euthanasia is to alleviate suffering, it seems like the person who does not have a terminal illness has an even greater need for this so-called service. And then finally, if you're going to die imminently, that seems to lessen the justification in terms of suffering, right? Because if you're about to die in the next few months or something, you are about to die. Whereas if you're not in the case of imminent death, again, you could go on and on and on.
