The Myth of the Maths Brain

What you believe about yourself actually changes your cognition. People with a growth mindset who believe that they can learn anything do better in all sorts of walks of life and people with a fixed mindset who think my intelligence is kind of fixed do not do as well. Boys are traditionally thought better at maths than girls. Test performance shows boys don't do better than girls at maths. In the recent PISA international tests on the individual math tests boys do better than girl when they factored in anxiety.
