The Relationship Between Brian Walden and Margaret Thatcher
Brian Walden had been a Labour MP. He became increasingly disillusioned with the Labour Party in the 1970s. His first guest on his first ever edition of Weekend World presented by Brian Walden was Margaret Thatcher in 1977. And they began a dialogue which we saw in real time between 1977 and 1989 about the ideas that underpinned Thatcherism.
