The Importance of Local Sensibilities
With agber we see an acceleration of this process, where er, for example, he is against the death penalty. He has people executed for things like that. And he's sort of almost a a taking local sensibilities into account. To what extent is this instrumental, and to what extent is it moral? How much of this is coming from his own beliefs about what is good and what is bad? I think it will be both because he was a pragmatic monarch.
