How to Use butterFS Without Any Issues
Linux Mint, for its various ills, is definitely noob-friendly on the right hardware. No one made LVM better because doesn't it solve all these problems? Just buy itself. You put your file system on top and LVM solves snapshotting and stuff for you. Does it do check summing and the kind of twinkly bells of ZFS and butterFS to the same degree? For the most part, that's probably not what you're after it for, especially if you have one disk.
