A lot of the groundbreaking research on AI is mostly coming out of academia. labs are starting to become more secret about the algorithms they're stop publishing them and i think this just makes it significantly harder for people to replicate any of these efforts. It's really unclear if they're establishing time about algorithmic efficiency which i was just talking about from computer vision also applies to language models or whatever the future of AI systems is. The limiting factor would become access to the enormous amounts of data that are required so perhaps you know in six or seven years time you might have enough compute in principle as a small business but you wouldn't have access to the entire corpus of data off the internet although as we talked
