The Book of Mormon Sides With Martin Harris's Account, Not Charles Anton's

Joseph Smith is using an incorrect reading of Isaiah to fit the anthem visit into the Book of Mormon. Non LDS Bible commentators make two observations that preclude the one that hath a familiar spirit from having direct reference to Joseph Smith. And so I think David Bakkavoy would say that Joseph Smith will be actualizing the text to a modern audience reading the Book of Mormons. But from a historical standpoint, it's a really bad misreading of Isaiah that Joseph Smith is intentionally doing in order to bolster both his credibility and the Book oformon's credibility as being an ancient record.
