The Treatment of Migrant Workers in Qatar
Qatar relies on migrant workers to perform much of the country's labour. Migrant workers used by World Cup organisers to construct stadiums, roads and metro system. Many migrants are employed in low-wage jobs which often lack basic safety precautions. Amnesty International has criticised the appalling living conditions migrant workers have experienced in Qatar.
