Stress in Cattle
Cattle have strong dominance hierarchies within the group. They associate with each other in strategic ways. These are animals which do an excellent job of convincing us that they're particularly stupid, that they really aren't. Then they're not superintelligent, but nor ar bu nor dumb, which we often come to betray. A is really important: whatever we feel about eating milk and having dairy products, you can't brush it off as a personal choice. We are worthy of at least compassion from our cattle friends.
