The Role of the Veins in Circulation

The veins are much more passive in their activity than the arterial side of circulation. This is because venous blood tends to stagnate much easier. And when the venous side of circulation becomes relaxed, right overly dilated, the blood is going to be much more likely to pool. So we see things like varicose veins, spider veins, just poor vein of circulation.
