Relational Connections That Need to Be Broken

Some people would narrowly define a soul tie as being a connection that sexual in nature between two people. Idolatry, by its very nature, gives you an unhealthy tie to whatever it is where we are inherently tied towhatever it is that we worship. If god is first in my life, i am connected to him. And so idols wrap around our hearts like vines, and they create connections. So if we love people more than god, turn those people into gods.
