The Hagramantia or the Magical Treaties of Solomon is an early example of a grimoire. It's referred to as a Byzantine text because it's from Byzantium and marks the point at which we get grimoire's touching down probably in Italy. Dr Cummins: "It draws on some very, very open steps, like the quarters, right? Like calling to the four cardinal directions"
