Dr. Russell Kennedy - The True Origins Of Anxiety

ManTalks Podcast

CHAPTER

The Most Common Myths About Anxiety

Anxiety is much more an issue of the physiology of the body from old unresolved wounds than it is the psychology of the mind. We worship the mind so much in our society, we believe that the mind is the cause of anxiety. But if you look at the structure of the brain, the prefrontal cortex and the sub-cortical structures like the amygdala, the pawns, the medulla, brainstem, none of those sub- cortical structures are feeling based. They're all feeling based. So anxiety is much more a feeling disorder than it is a thinking disorder.
