Sunak's Strategy for the Autumn Election
I have said since, at least December last year, it will be an earlier than expected election. Why isn't Starmer just letting Sunak keep on making his own mistakes as he had been up until this point? The difficulty for them is these five missions that he set out, right? They need to look as if at least they're going towards making progress on them. And so really weirdly, one of the big factors will be the weather this summer,. If it's a particularly good summer and we get a larger than usual level of small boat crossings, then Sunak will look as if he's failing that target.
